INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
" Fear keeps us focused on the past or worried about the future. If we can acknowledge our fear, we can realize that right now we are okay. Right now, today, we are still alive, and our bodies are working marvelously. Our eyes can still see the beautiful sky. Our ears can still hear the voices of our loved ones." Thich Nhat Hanh

― Antoine Pécoud
Moving to a new country is a complex and challenging experience. At Silver Spring Counseling, we recognize the significance of addressing legal, social, and psychological obstacles to attain stability and security. To that end, we offer comprehensive mental health assessments for people who are pursuing lawful status in the United States. These assessments are essential for documenting the psychological impact relevant to your immigration case and they play a critical role in ensuring that your story is heard. Our services encompass psychosocial evaluations for individuals applying for:
T Visa
U Visa
Asylum
The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA)
Hardship Waivers
Cancellation of Removal
My goal is to provide a professional assessment that addresses the legal questions central to your petition by translating your lived experience into clear, meaningful language that the legal system can understand.
I set up an appointment with you, which will consist of anywhere between 1 and 2 sessions, each lasting 2 to 3 hours. After your appointment, I will provide your attorney with a 6 to 10-page report with a detailed discussion of your situation, the impacts of abuse or hardship, and any other supporting information I can provide.
